In Segezha Packaging we are very conscious of our responsibility to the environment. Paper sacks from Segezha Packaging are made of wood from sustainable forests. Both paper and sacks are produced in an environment-friendly manner, and the finished sacks are recyclable, making our products the most natural packaging choice.
We are actively involved in projects involving recycling and finding new solutions for the disposal of our products once they have been used, and using less material is another major issue for us with a hugely positive ”green” impact.
If you go back 10-15 years, most sacks were four or five plies of paper. Today three-ply, two-ply and in some cases one-ply sacks are commonly used. This represents a huge step forward in environmental terms, because we have maintained the level of performance, but dramatically cut the amount of material going into the product.
