Regional Sales Officer of Segezha Packaging is elected President of Eurosac

Rob Franken, Segezha Packaging Regional Sales Officer, was elected President of European Federation of Multiwall Paper Sacks Manufacturers (Eurosac).

The decision was taken following the results of Executive Board voting during the annual Eurosac Congress, which took place in Malta this year. The President is elected for a period of two years.

The management of Segezha Packaging (part of Segezha Group) suggested Rob Franken, who previously served as Vice-President at Eurosac, as a candidate for this position. He started his career with the company 10 years ago as Sales Director emerging markets.

The appointment underlines the recognition of Segezha Group as the leading player in the European market and will further enhance the company’s image both in Europe and outside.

European Federation of Multiwall Paper Sacks Manufacturers was founded in 1952. Eurosac includes not only European manufactures of paper sacks and bags, but also producers from other countries, as well as suppliers to the industry. The Federation represents over 75% of European producers operating in 20 countries. Their production accounts for more than 5 billion paper bags or 650,000 tons of paper converted at 60 plants.

Acting on behalf of its members, Eurosac aim to promote the paper sack industry by undertaking different actions. The Federation surveys and examines activities and initiatives in the areas of industry whether technical or environmental and actively contributes to these prevalent topics and emerging issues. In terms of lobbying and research, the organization works closely with CEPI Eurokraft in the ESPACE Programme (Environmental Strategy Programme and Communication EUROSAC/CEPI Eurokraft).
