| We are please to announce the successful start up of our new factory at Saransk in Russia.
As a proof of the strong synergies between our Russian and European businesses it only took 5 months from approval of the project to the production of the first sack.
The focus of the new plant will be sacks for the building industry. Production facilities for the manufacture of 100 million sacks of cement and other building materials. The new plant is equipped with three production lines and pre-printer from Windmïoller & Hölscher.
The start of this plant is an outstanding achievement and marks a key step in the development of our business in the Russian and CIS region. Segezha Packaging position as leader in the Russian paper sack market is futher enhanced with the opening of this plant, strategically located in the heart of the Russian cement belt.
